New at AHC: Club LOTA

The Father’s Club transformed the auditorium March 9 into the amazing Club LOTA. Club LOTA was the theme for this year’s Father Daughter Dance (FDD).

Walking through the halls of Holy Cross it might seem that the FDD is only a freshman and senior event. However, according to the President of the Fathers Club Michael Rose, “We do not want to be categorized by anything other than a LOTA thing. All classes should want to go since it is a special time for the girls to spend a quality night out with their father, guardian, grandfather, or any other special guest.”

This year especially, the Fathers Club worked to make the FDD extra special with all new and exciting activities and decorations.

“We had new vibrant music for them with LED dance platforms, up-lighting, dance floor light show, glow booths, selfie mirrors, and more. Dance offs between classes, Father-Daughter dance contest, limbo contest, golden ticket raffle, gift card drawing… it is going to be off the hook,” exclaimed Rose.

Freshman Erin McLaughlin attended her first Holy Cross Father Daughter Dance and had a fabulous time.

McLaughlin said, “I enjoyed spending time with my friends and dancing with the dads!” She also spoke about how she loved the music, DJ, and the chocolate fountain.

Erin’s father, Brian McLaughlin, agreed, “It was a great experience because you get to be with your daughter and meet new friends.”
