Holy Cross’s version of Project Runway will be coming in a few weeks.

The Art and Design Club will be presenting their show on April 24. The fashion show will be organized, directed, and designed by the club members with the guidance and assistance of faculty member Dena Maye. The show will consist of five looks from five different themes: denim, retro/futuristic, black & white, classic, and designers’ choice; modeled by Holy Cross students.

Makeup artist junior Caroline Crown expressed, “The fashion show is important for the Holy Cross community, because it shows that the art students have a place in the school.” She continued, “It is a way for students of all visual art forms to come together with their own ideas.”

Art and Design Club’s co-president, Christina Claverie-Williams, described this club as a place for girls to “come together to exchange ideas and techniques, and create wonderful art.”

Crown added, “It is a place where girls can learn new things about different field or art and show off their talents or passions.”

As the Art and Design Club makeup, style, accessory, and set teams continue to work towards getting everything ready for the show, Maye expressed, “Appreciation for the girls’ enthusiasm about the show and my hope is that in the success of the show, the Project Runway class could return to Holy Cross.”
