The 2019 outdoor track season has started off well after finishing an awesome indoor season. The indoor season ended with a second-place win at the Catholic Schools Championship, as well as many personal records and school records broken. As the team begins their new season they hope for the same results.

Coach Carlos Pla exclaimed, “Hard work, personal records, team spirit and working our hardest is what will continue to improve our team.” All of these qualities will continue to enhance the track team as they move outside for the spring season.

The outdoor track season started Monday, February 25, and lasts for three months, giving much time for improvement. Pla explained, “With a young team we are still developing. We are building our base and I think we will do really well within our conference.”

The track team is made up of 18 girls from all grades. Lexington Hart expressed, “I like track mainly because I like to run but I also love the community I’m surrounded in and how everyone is so supportive.” The outdoor track team is off to a great start.
