AHC took a journey Into the Woods during their fall musical.

The directors, cast members, tech, and crew worked very hard for eight weeks until opening night. Everybody did a phenomenal job putting on such an amazing show for the audience.

Director Kate Griffith stated, “It was fun directing the show. It feels good when you put a lot of work into something, and it turns out really well. We did Into the Woods because we knew we had the talent. It was very emotional when everything was over.”

Cast member Jo Matta mentioned, “I was excited when I heard the announcement that we were going to do Into the Woods! I didn’t know the show very well, aside from the most iconic Sondheim songs, but what I did know is that it had a number of roles that would fit AHC students.”

Into the Woods is a very complex show, and the members of the production worked very hard to make it successful. Matta said, “I had an amazing experience working on this show. The show itself presents a unique challenge in the sense that it is comprised of complex characters with emotional depth, but as they are fairytale characters, they are not typically depicted as such. It was definitely difficult for us to pull off, but when we finally did, everyone had a feeling of immense accomplishment and pride.”

Into the Woods was a great success, and the cast and crew is very excited for their next adventure to begin.
