International Day expresses the diversity and individuality of people. Foreign language department chair Rachel Mullervy described, “It celebrated all the cultures at Holy Cross.” International Day honors everyone and all cultures together.

The assembly showcased fashion, food, and dance of different countries. Additionally, there were presentations about country information and beliefs. Mullervy shared, “The presentations were from different classes and clubs.”

Among the many performances were dances and presentations from the Irish dance club, Adrenaline Dance club, IB students, Cambridge students, Asian American club, Latin class, French and Spanish classes, and a Korean Hip Hop performance by senior Ivy Peng.

International Day was an important event to observe because it shows how people come from different places and different cultures and celebrate together.

Spanish teacher Teresa Koudjeti mentioned, “It’s important to honor different cultural backgrounds of students and teacher population at AHC. It also educated students about our diverse cultures.”
