White Day at AHC Gets Whiter With Snow
“School is cancelled today.”
That is always a fun phrase to hear when someone wakes up for school. It’s even better when it’s because there’s snow falling from the sky. It was an exciting day for many, especially for someone who had never seen snow before.
Freshman Sam Paul-Georges exclaimed, “My snow day was a really cool experience! Seeing snow fall from the sky was interesting, especially since it’s the middle of November, and I’m used to 80 degree weather around this time.” Paul-Georges moved from Florida, so she did not get the chance to see snow in the past. This was Paul-Georges’s first time seeing snow, and she was very excited.
AHC had a snow day on Thursday, November 15. The day was scheduled to be an early dismissal because of parent-teacher conferences. Since MCPS said that it was a 2-hour delay, the LOTAs had the whole day off. To make the day even more restful, it was not an E-learning day.
A junior source stated, “It was a great time to have a snow day. It was fun to sleep in, and I had fun sledding with my siblings.”
This year’s snow day was unexpected, but everyone was glad to have the day off. The students are looking forward to another day full of shining snow in the future.
